Off to Paris :)

No, not me...these scrapbooks! I only wish it were me!
I had a lot of fun making these scrapbooks for a lovely lady in Paris :) I have always said that these Custom Albums are for everyone! You can do so much with them and the custom options are endless. Sometimes my customers think of things I would have never thought of!
These Hannibal and Clarice albums are perfect examples! I never would have thought to do albums about movies. But when you love a movie so much...why not do an album about them. These albums are, of course, about the movies Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal. Two great movies by the way :)
These albums got me thinking about other options I could do. I know that the Twilight movies are very popular and everybody has a favorite movie :) You could even do one about a night out at the movies with the movie title for the album.
Oh the possibilities of Custom Albums :)

Our New Furbaby...Bridgette :)

Okay, so I had another post planned for today, but I have much better news to share with you instead...
Jesse and I got a new furbaby yesterday! Meet Bridgette...
We still haven't decided whether she will stay in the house or will eventually make it outside...that's still up for debate :) Right now she is curled up behind me asleep on my chair...so sweet and peaceful! But when she's awake...it's a little different story! And Harley definitely doesn't know what to think of her! Or should I say that Bridgette doesn't know what to think of him! They will fast become friends though :)
What do you think...isn't she super cute!

Wordless Wednesday-Happy Couple :)

Weekly Feature...a little late!

I meant to get this posted yesterday since I wasn't on the computer at all Monday...but got to scrapbooking and totally forgot!
Since last week's Father Word Album sold so quickly last week and since this is a short week for the feature...I have decided to feature another one that I made last week. Actually I made two more last week and sold one the very next day :) So here's wishing this one sells quickly as well!
What better gift to get Dad than an album filled with treasured photos? And the best part is, you get a matching card to go along with the album!
Everyone loves to look at family photos and this album is the best way to showcase those photos! It is personalized for every father out there!
The album measures 4"x12" and is decorated with blues, greens and reds. The pages are made of heavy chipboard and covered on both sides with textured cardstock. Each page has a letter at the end decorated with patterned paper. Each page is decorated with acid-free, archival-quality embellishments. The album is bound with two metal rings that are decorated with ribbon to match the album.
The card measures 4.25"x5.5" and comes with a white envelope. Colors and papers match the album exactly!
If you would like this album in a different color, let me know soon. Father's Day is just around the corner!!! Or would you like a different word...like Dad or Daddy...just email me and I can get one done for you :)

My Weekend!!!

Wow...what a weekend! Let me fill you in on my fun!
Saturday we left for Ankeny, IA for a wedding rehearsal...Jesse was the best man. We did our thing at the church, ate dinner, and then watched the ultimate fights on TV at Buffalo Wild Wings. It was fun getting to know the rest of the wedding party and spending time with the bride and groom to be :)
Sunday was the wedding. Jesse had to be at the church at 12:30 for pictures (which he was not thrilled about)! So I went shopping!!! I only made it to Michael's because I hit the jackpot!!! Check out some of my new fun supplies! I was so excited to find so many great buys!!!
The wedding was at 5pm and went really well. I love watching two people get married who truly are meant to be together! They are so happy together and love one another with all they have :) Here they are in the very cool limo we got to ride in.
After the wedding was the reception in Ames. We all had SO much fun. Jesse has the best family ever and we partied the night away :) Jesse even danced!!! (Not often heard of!)
You would think after all that dancing and partying that we would go to our hotel room and call it a night...not this family :) The hotel was very cool and let us stay in the pool til 3:30 am!!! More fun times! I love, love, love my waterproof camera! A very good investment if you ask me :)
Then on Monday the weekend got even better. My parents had been down in Missouri checking out their property they bought last summer. When the weather was cooperating, they decided to pack up and come to Iowa. I got to spend almost all day with them yesterday!!! I wish they could have stayed for longer, but at least I got to see them. Those hugs were much needed!!! Don't ask me why I wasn't smart enough to get any pictures of us together! I'm still beating myself up for that one! I guess there's always next time...
Now today is back to reality. Jesse had to work this morning and I had to get back to my jogging! And now I have a whole day of scrapbooking in front of me :) What more could I ask for?
I hope you enjoyed your extended weekend :)

Just a quick post before I leave for the weekend :) Jesse and I have a wedding this weekend, so I won't be around until sometime Monday. Yesterday we enjoyed a nice day on the lake! Gorgeous weather...now we just need the water to warm up! Today we will be leaving for the rehearsal and dinner and tomorrow is the wedding. Jesse gets the honor of being the best man in his cousin's wedding :) We will be celebrating with family and friends and will be having a wonderful time!!! I hope you all have a great weekend and a Happy Memorial Day :)

Birthday Memories

This month for the EtsyBloggers Blog Carnival one of the options to blog about is a favorite birthday memory, wish, or gift. And if you've been reading my blog...you know I love my birthday :) So instead of choosing one special memory or gift, I thought I'd show you the last 8 birthdays and why they were special. (Okay...really only 7 because apparently my 20th birthday wasn't special! How could that be!)
This is from my 19th birthday. It was the first year Jesse and I lived together during my birthday. He came home from work with this ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. And the best part...he doesn't eat sweets...so I got the whole cake to myself :) Pretty thoughtful if you ask me :)
Like I said above...we'll just skip over my 20th since I don't have any pics and can't quite remember it!
But of course my 21st was a big one :) This is the layout I made to celebrate it. We went to eat at Hooters and they made me stand on a chair with that hideous red dress while they sang to me! Then we went to a comedy club where a hypnotist was performing...he's the big guy in the blue shirt I'm standing with. Yup...I got my picture taken with him afterwards :)
For my 22nd I made this layout to remember 22 things about me at 22. I really wish I would have made one of these every year so I could see how my life had changed within the last year.
My 23rd was pretty special! Not only was this the only year my parents have been home for my birthday since they moved, but I got really good gifts! As you can see in the He Loves Me layout...I got my Harley boy and a fridge!!! And I had to make a special layout to show that I got to spend the day with my entire family :) A very special birthday :)
My 24th was the first year we had a big celebration in our shed. My cousin's girlfriend's birthday is the day before mine, so we decided we deserved a party :) This is the two of us at the festivities!
For my 25th we went to Vegas! My first trip and it was awesome :) Just the two of us having a blast!
And if you're a regular reader...you know I had even more fun at my 26th!!! My best friend and I have birthdays 10 days apart...so a party was definitely needed :) And not only that, but on the actual day of my birthday, Jesse took me out for supper...where his whole family was there to surprise me :) One of the sweetest things he's done for me...I almost cried!!!
I know...a long post...but can you see why it was hard for me to choose a favorite! What do you think next year will bring...

More Father Word Albums!!!

Since my last Father Word Album sold so quickly, I knew I needed to get more made before Father's Day gets here!
So here are the two newest ones:
And as before, they each come with a matching card. Talk about Father's Day made easy :)
And as always...if you would like different colors or a different word (Dad, Daddy, Papa, etc.) just email me or convo me through Etsy :)

Featured Item Sold!

WooHoo...another Weekly Feature sold :) My Father Word Album didn't stick around long! I better get some more made!
So I'd like to hear from you, my readers...what would you like to see next week for the Weekly Feature? Leave me a comment...I love those comments!!!

Tomatoes are on their way!

Jesse was a sweetie and brought me home a hanging tomato plant a few weeks ago :) I hate weeding a garden, so we thought this would be the perfect solution. We followed the directions and planted the little seeds in the medium that came with the kit. We then covered the container with plastic to create a greenhouse effect and when the seeds started to sprout, we took off the plastic and here is what we have so far:
Yup...that's a 9x13 metal baking dish! I didn't have anything else to put them in. The taller, more abundant ones are grape tomatoes and the little ones on the other end are the full-size tomatoes.
Here is a picture of what they will look like as soon as we can plant them in the basket. The little ones go on top and the big ones hang from the bottom.
I also planted a big tomato, small tomato, and pepper plant in my garden outside just to be safe. A summer without fresh tomatoes just won't do!
I'll keep you posted on how these turn out. I should be able to move them to the basket in a couple more weeks. For now I just have to keep them watered and in the sun :)

Flip Flop Frenzy!!!

I think I'm having flip flop overload...is that possible :)
I just got more flip flops in the mail yesterday :) There's nothing better than getting scrapbook supplies in the mail!
These will be used specifically for wedding guestbooks. I had another request for a custom one, so I thought I would order a couple more pair to have on hand :) Black and white seem to be very popular wedding colors this year, so I went with those. Any other colors can easily be added to the inside of the album.
I love how these say Just Married on the bottom side of the flip flop! How cute!
And here is the last Flip Flop Guestbook I created:
I think it turned out super cute...as my next one will as well :)

Retail Therapy :)

Everybody needs a little retail therapy from time to time, right? I'm actually not a huge shopaholic. In fact I'm more like a guy when it comes to shopping...get in, get what you need, and get out! That is, of course, except when I'm shopping for crafting supplies :)
Wednesday I was lucky enough to get a day free and do some shopping! I really lucked out because I got to take one of my best girlfriends with me :) We had so much fun chatting on the way to the mall, shopping, eating lunch, and chatting the whole way home too :)
I found tons of cool flip flops I'm just dying to make into albums. Here's a portion of what I bought (oh yeah, there are more!):
I love these Just Married and Wedding Ring flip flops! More guest books maybe? Or a super cute wedding album!
And these two just scream summer to me! They'll probably be the first I get started on! And I love the colors...two of my faves in fact :)
And we had to do a little clothes shopping. You just can't beat $3 and $4 tank tops! Yup...I'm a bargain shopper! Big Time :)
I'm hoping we get to do this a few more times this summer. A girl's gotta get out from time to time, right :) Happy shopping and happy crafting to you all!
