The Magical 100

I've had an unwritten goal for quite some time to get 100 items listed in my shop. I've been in the 80s and 90s for a few months now and finally reached the "magical 100"!
The theory behind the "magical 100" is that the more items you have in your store, the more you're getting your product seen and the more exposure you'll have. Then, if everything goes as planned, more listings will equal more sales :)

Since I've started thinking of more and more ways to to use the wood I have on hand, I've come up with TONS of new ideas for listings! You've seen my new jewelry (with lots more to come!) and my wine charms.

Next on the list will be magnets, key chains and hair pins! I also have cuff links and buttons in the works!
Thanks to everyone who has made suggestions for new items! I have several of them in the works and plan to do a post dedicated to your awesome ideas!

Have you hit the "magical 100"? Or do you have a different goal for your shop listings?
Did you see an increase in sales when you hit your "magical number"?

Custom Key Chain

If you saw my Wordless Wednesday post last week, you saw that we got a "new" truck. We had to get a spare set of keys made and Jesse mentioned that he wanted to buy a cool key chain for them. I said: Why buy one when I can make one :)

I love getting to make things for him :) Coming up with things for guys can be hard! So I thought these key chains would be a great gift idea!

I cut the key chain in the shape of the Chevy bow tie. Then I engraved 454 (the motor size) on one side and his last name on the other.
I wanted him to carry it around for a while to see how it holds up. I told him to carry it in his pocket with some loose change. Put it to the test! I want to know how well they hold up before I list them in my shop. I want to have them listed by fall as I think they'll make great Christmas gifts for the guys :) And maybe even groomsman gifts!

The Bright Side :)

As many of my readers know...our truck was recently broken into and my purse and Jesse's wallet were both stolen...along with all of their contents! It was a huge mess and a huge headache...but I always try and look on the bright side :) And when my new purse showed up today...that was pretty easy! I got this great purse on Etsy from a cool shop called DukDesigns. It is the perfect size and I love the pattern! I also love that it has three nice-sized pockets on the inside as well :) You should check out her other purses as well! And along with a new purse, I needed new stuff to put in it. So I got a new wallet and keychain as well. Oh yeah, and my cool new phone too :) So when life hands you an unpleasant situaion...try and look on the bright side :) It's always sunnier over there :)
