Friday Features - Nautical

I chose today's nautical/water/beachy theme for a number of reasons.

#1: My mom's birthday is coming up and one of the biggest things we're going to do this weekend to celebrate is go out on the Branson Belle.

#2: A bloggy friend of mine is getting married this weekend in Hawaii and her husband-to-be is a sailor. So she's having a very beacy/nautical wedding. Congrats Natasha!!!

#3: My nautical items in my shop are still some of the most popular items I have. These anchor flutes are my best selling glassware item!

Friday Features - I'm Sailing Away

On Tuesday I shared a bunch of new anchor items I made for the July BBA Challenge. I got my guest book and invitation listed last night and went looking for other awesome anchor items as well. I could have spent hours looking at all the fun nautical themed items on Etsy :)

Trend Watch - Nautical

I always try to keep up on the latest trends when it comes to my shop. I don't always look for the hottest trends, but the ones that I feel will be around for a while and ones that I personally love. The latest trend I've been loving is the Nautical Trend.

I've been seeing anchors everywhere lately. They're so fun and make me want to board the next available cruise ship! (even despite the recent cruise ship disaster!) I was recently asked to make the card above for an anniversary. I had made a similar one a while back for a birthday card and hadn't even considered turning it into an anniversary card. I love it!

I had also just completed making these cuff links and matching tie tack around the same time the custom request came in...I call that fate :)

You can bet you'll be seeing this anchor design on a wedding invitation soon as well!
