Friday Features - Freebird

Tomorrow I'll be getting my first ever tattoo!!! I'm excited and scared all at the same time. I'm not gonna lie...I'm kind of a wuss when it comes to needles. But the tattoo is very special to me and will totally be worth it in the end. I'm getting a memorial tattoo in honor of my brother. Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd was always his song and I'm getting a bird silhouette on my wrist to always have him near.

I promise pics to come soon of my new tattoo! But until then, enjoy these great bird silhouette finds from Etsy!

  1. That is an endearing thing to do. Thinking of you ♥
One of my oldest schoolfriends is a "celebrity tattooist" and she's been trying to persuade me to have one done. I've resisted so far ;-)

  3. What a sweet tribute and a great way to remember him.

Tattoos don't hurt that much. I have one on my arm and it just feels like a cat is scratching you. Getting my cartilage pierced in college hurt WAY more. :-)

  4. That's a lovely way to remember your brother! I'm a wuss too but every second that it's happening is a second closer to it being done and then you'll have the tribute forever!

  12. I don't think I could deal with getting a tattoo! So many people today get really random ones of things that don't seem meaningful. Yours is really touching! I hope it went well.
