This month's challenge is brought to us by LeAnn of pasqueflower. Her theme is Prelude to the Holidays and she writes this about her challenge:
"October! It is time to start thinking ahead to the holidays -- Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas and New Year. They will be here before we know it!
This month, I challenge you to create a holiday-themed item. It could be a new listing for your Etsy shop, a holiday decoration for your home, a costume or special accessory for a holiday gathering, or a gift you intend to give to a friend or loved one.
Since "prelude" is a musical term, you could also make something music-themed if you wish."
I've known all year that I've wanted to add new ornaments to my shop
for the holidays. This challenge got my butt in gear to get them done early and listed in the shop!
I've only added one new listing, but I have several variations within the listing for buyers to choose.
I also plan to add a special set of ornaments for Baby's First Year as well. They will follow the same idea as these ornaments with the baby's name at the top, an image in the middle and the date at the bottom. I'm working now on getting several images together for parent's to choose from. I like to offer many options to make the ornament perfect for each buyer.
Thank you LeAnn for this month's challenge and for making me plan ahead for the holidays...I know we can all use that!

ReplyDeleteLove them all Edi, especially the Christmas tree!!
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful Edi! My mom always used to get personalized Christmas tree ornaments each year. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great challenge! I am just not motivated to start thinking Christmas yet... maybe its because I am still hanging onto the green leaves outside. Maybe after Halloween I will be ready! Great ornaments, I like all the variations!
ReplyDeleteI love your new ornaments, Edi! The swirly tree is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI love that Christmas Tree ornament! Great challenge for this month. =0)
ReplyDeleteThis is reminding me that I need to get some Christmas ornaments listed. Yours look great! :)
ReplyDeleteThese are great Edi! I'm going to have to order one.
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy how quickly Christmas is approaching. It feels like the year starts out so slowly and then, BAM, it's Autumn/Winter. Love these decorations :) they are so cute! Think I'm gonna try and make some cute decorations this year for my house and to take to my parents!
ReplyDeleteGreat post :)

Great idea to get the ornaments listed early Edi! Love how you turn challenges into items for your shop. That's why you're so successful!
ReplyDeleteI guess that, by Etsy terms, it isn't that early to list things for Christmas! I need to get my act together! Your ornaments look great--I really like the deer!
ReplyDeleteAll are so lovely. They make for a wonderful treasure for cherished memories.
ReplyDeleteGood for you working ahead! I know that your new ornaments will be popular.
ReplyDeleteGreat designs. They would look great hung from twine aswell! My fave would have to be the reindeer and the swirly tree and I like your idea for babys first Christmas too. I better get started on Christmas crafts now!
ReplyDeletelovely ornaments!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the detailed tree. You're so good at thinking of seasonal products! Actually, that might be a good instructional post for those of us who are pretty terrible at getting seasonal things done on time, haha.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ornaments! I just loved the one that I bought from you last year. As I get it out this year and put it on my tree, I will think of you!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Love the swirl design on the Christmas tree. The Baby's First is a good idea -- every parent wants to commemorate that!
ReplyDeleteLove the Tree one!
ReplyDeleteThese are great and the baby ones will be particularly special!
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous! I love how they are personalized, and that would be a great gift for so many different people. What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to start planning for the holiday season so early. I managed to get some ornaments in the shop already, but I have more I'd like to get in there still.
