Button Album Closure

I've really enjoyed coming up with new designs for my buttons. I hadn't, however, thought of any new uses for my buttons. I recently got a request to put some type of closure on a photo album and knew my wooden buttons were the perfect item for the job!

As with any new creation, this took a little bit of thought. I had to figure out how to attach the button to the album. And then I had to figure out how to actually close the book using the button. I found some narrow ribbon did the job well.

The buyer was very happy with the final product, which made me happy as well :)

Have you come up with any new uses for your current products lately?

Valentine's Day...Already?

I don't know about you, but didn't we just get done with Christmas! My gosh, I can't believe Valentine's Day is just around the corner! I relisted some of my wooden cards from last year and I've already sold several. Which told me I better get my butt in gear and get the rest of my items listed! Shoppers are on top of their game this year.
From last year, I've relisted the Double Heart Card, Deer Card and Mustache Card...all of which are doing well again this year :)

And just last night I got a few more items listed like this Love Is...You and Me photo album. This can also be personalized.

I'm also working on a Valentine's Day DIY using some red acrylic and thought some red heart earrings and cuff links would make fun Valentine's Day accessories.

Are you ready for Valentine's Day? Are you still stuck in December like I am?

Prettiest Girl on the Block

The best thing about offering custom work is getting to see all my customers' ideas! Often times they are ideas I would have never thought to offer on my own.

My most recent custom request was for a Tattoo Portfolio Book. Much like a photo album, but I got to engrave a piece of the artist's work on the cover of the book!

Isn't this drawing just beautiful! That's why I titled this post the Prettiest Girl on the Block :)

And the font the customer chose is very cool as well! I like how it ties in with the tattoo theme and looks classy all at the same time.

Now my mind is thinking of other portfolios I could make. How about for someone who makes cabinets? Or handmade wood furniture? Thinking about businesses opens up another option!

May The Force Be With You

I think I may have made my most unique wedding photo album yet :)
My aunt is going to a wedding this weekend and the couple is very into Star Wars. Their wedding invitation had an unusual font and star wars graphics. My aunt thought it would be fun to have me create a wooden photo album to match.
And fun it was! I was able to find the exact font they had used on their invitation and the Star Wars graphic as well!
I can't wait for the couple to receive their photo album! It will be the most unique gift they receive :)
