After being -20 degrees F earlier last week, it warmed up in the 30s and 40s over the weekend. After being cooped up all week to avoid the cold, it was time to get out and have some fun! Jesse and I, along with 2 friends, finally got to put some miles on our snowmobiles.
I posted this picture on Facebook and got some funny/good comments. I guess I look a little like Mrs. Darth Vader here...lol :) You should have seen me when I had a pink mohawk on my helmet!
And yes, I do ride my own snowmobile. I've ridden double before and it's just not much fun. And a little scary. Not that I'm a good driver...lol...but it's still better than being on the back with someone else!
Hey, at least I wasn't the first one to get stuck this year :) Actually, I didn't get stuck at all this time! And I didn't run into anything. Yes, that's quite an accomplishment for me!
Even Keystone was enjoying the warm weather and thought he wanted to go for a ride too :)
What did you do over the weekend?
At first I thought, where is Keystone and then I finally spotted him :)
ReplyDeleteHow fast do those things go?
It seriously took me 10 seconds to find Keystone. Hahaha.
ReplyDeleteI wondered what you were doing when I saw the picture on Facebook! I've never been on a snowmobile, but I have done a 4-wheeler and they don't seem TOO different. Minus the snow, of course. :-)
Keystone blends right in! At first, I thought he was a headrest.... :D
ReplyDeleteWe rode snowmobiles on one of our trips to Colorado -- me on the back behind hubby -- the kids really loved it!
And yes, you are definitely Mrs D Vader! Or Darthette (we snicker and add "ette" on the ends of names ever since Smurfette came on the scene...)
All I can say is "it looks cold!" Thank heaven for warm clothing and helmets!!
ReplyDeleteThat's an intense outfit! Honestly, I think I'd need even more to go outdoors in those temperatures. It looks like a pretty scary but fun experience!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like so much fun!! You do look like Mrs. Darth Vader and I love it!
ReplyDeleteI got to have Shylee for the weekend :)
How fun! You're a badass. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a little big for Keystone! Looks like you had a good time though and so glad you weren't the one stuck!
ReplyDeletehow fun! and of course you have a lovely pink jacket :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks so fun! I have never been snow mobiling. There are places in NH where you can rent them. We should give it a try! I'm glad you had some warmer temperatures for doing so. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I did taxes over the weekend.
ReplyDelete*That* looks like a blast. There's no snow here in Florida, I'd love to go run and play in some after a pilgrimage up north one day..
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lot of fun! As much as I hate this weather, there are some fun things to do in it.
ReplyDeleteI love that you are brave enough for such things. I am absolutely fearful of all things bike related :)
ReplyDeleteSarah
I bet that is a lot of fun! There is rarely ever that much snow where I live. (Actually, I'm OK with that!)
