Let's Ride!

After being -20 degrees F earlier last week, it warmed up in the 30s and 40s over the weekend. After being cooped up all week to avoid the cold, it was time to get out and have some fun! Jesse and I, along with 2 friends, finally got to put some miles on our snowmobiles.

I posted this picture on Facebook and got some funny/good comments. I guess I look a little like Mrs. Darth Vader here...lol :) You should have seen me when I had a pink mohawk on my helmet!

And yes, I do ride my own snowmobile. I've ridden double before and it's just not much fun. And a little scary. Not that I'm a good driver...lol...but it's still better than being on the back with someone else!

Hey, at least I wasn't the first one to get stuck this year :) Actually, I didn't get stuck at all this time! And I didn't run into anything. Yes, that's quite an accomplishment for me!

 

Even Keystone was enjoying the warm weather and thought he wanted to go for a ride too :)

Frozen Beauty

I think I've taken more pictures of trees this winter than any other time in my life...LOL! I just can't get enough of their frozen beauty!

This last week we had freezing fog almost every morning and sometimes into the afternoons. The fog wasn't so great and the roads weren't always the best...but the moisture they left on the trees made it all worth it!

I wish these pictures did them more justice...they are really a site to see :) Each morning on our drive home I just admire their beauty and remind myself that without the bad weather...I wouldn't have this beauty in my life!

Flip Flop Season???

So, I'd been starting to wonder if people either didn't "get" my flip flop albums...or just didn't like them. All summer long I've been relisting them often as they tend to be a summery item...and didn't sell a single pair! Now that winter has hit...I've sold 3 flip flop albums! And, I have a custom order for a pair that I am going to make into a Guest Book for a Jamaican wedding! How cool is that? So, I'm wondering...is this flip flop season??? Ever since I starting making flip flop albums, I've become addicted to buying them whenever I see them. I see endless possibilities with different styles. I don't even wear flip flops...I just like to buy them for albums! The people at the checkout counters usually give me a really funny look when I tell them what I'm planning on doing with them...just another reason to hand out a business card! "Here, take a look at my website and you'll see" :) Here are 4 albums that I still have in my store: Mickey Mouse Flip Flop Album $20 I was a HUGE Mickey and Minnie fan as a kid! First Snow!

It was so nice to wake up yesterday to the falling of beautiful snow flakes! There's just something about that first snowfall to get you in the winter spirit :) And every year I have to take a few pictures of the first snow...it's a little tradition I've started the last few years. We didn't get much accumulation...just enough to cover the ground. It's best that way...gives me a chance to get used to it :)

The best part is...when it's cold and snowy outside...I get more work done inside :)
