Belle's Bell

Have I mentioned how much I love custom requests! (oh, I did!) This is just one more reason why I love them :)

I was recently asked by the owner of the winery where I sell some of my items locally to engrave a special item for her parents. Their dog recently passed away and her name was Belle. She found a really neat handmade bell on the internet and wanted me to engrave the hanging wood pendant that came with the bell.

I was a little nervous because it was an unusual shape and I wasn't sure what type of wood it was or how the engraving would turn out. But the more items I engrave, the more confident I become in my work :) And this turned out great!

I love that the bell is handmade...and now it is personalized too :) She said this will hang in her parent's back yard where Belle loved to run and play :) How perfect!

March Giveaway Announced!!!

It sure has been nice having a few days off work this week :) I've been getting a lot of scrapbooking done...gotta love that!

I finished this Custom Wedding Name Album and am super excited to show it to you :) I think the Mr. and Mrs. turned out really cute. I have added a few of these shots to my Etsy listing as well to offer this style to others!

I customized the first couple of pages to show the couples names and their wedding location and date :) I feel the more personalized an album is, the better gift it makes! I know they are going to love it :)

Next I'll be working on some Valentine's Word Albums...stay tuned for pics...

First Sale of 2009!!!

I was thrilled to get my first sale of 2009 yesterday! I really thought January would be pretty slow. After the holiday rush and with our "wonderful" economy, I didn't quite know what to expect. This just made the sale even more special :) It looks as though my Custom Name and Word Albums are going to be popular again this year!!! Here is the album in process. It will say MR&MRSHARVEY (Mr. and Mrs. Harvey) when finished. The MR and MRS will be vertical on the page to make room for the last name. I know it's a little hard to see right now...don't worry, I will definitely be taking more pictures when it is finished :)

I plan on adding more Name and Word Albums to my shop in 2009. Many more premade options and more custom options as well. Keep watch for these new albums in my shop soon :)

Flip Flop Season???

So, I'd been starting to wonder if people either didn't "get" my flip flop albums...or just didn't like them. All summer long I've been relisting them often as they tend to be a summery item...and didn't sell a single pair! Now that winter has hit...I've sold 3 flip flop albums! And, I have a custom order for a pair that I am going to make into a Guest Book for a Jamaican wedding! How cool is that? So, I'm wondering...is this flip flop season??? Ever since I starting making flip flop albums, I've become addicted to buying them whenever I see them. I see endless possibilities with different styles. I don't even wear flip flops...I just like to buy them for albums! The people at the checkout counters usually give me a really funny look when I tell them what I'm planning on doing with them...just another reason to hand out a business card! "Here, take a look at my website and you'll see" :) Here are 4 albums that I still have in my store: Mickey Mouse Flip Flop Album $20 I was a HUGE Mickey and Minnie fan as a kid! New Flip Flop Albums in Store :)

I added FOUR new flip flop albums to my Etsy store today!!! I am so excited to get some great new items in there :)

I wanted to show the front and back of this one because I just love that it says "Paradise Princess" on the back side :) How cute is that!

Custom Sorority Albums-New In Store

I have added another style of my Custom Name/Word Albums to my Etsy shop. This time they are Sorority Albums. I have had a few requests for these so I thought I would add them for sale.

Here is a sample album I did for Alpha Delta Pi.

I used their colors, motto, flower, and symbol to make this album extra special :)

For this one I used letters, but I can also do Greek symbols.

I have been told that Sisters like to give little gifts to each other from time to time and I thought these would just be perfect. They're small in size, but large in thought :) What more could you want in the perfect gift!

Mickey Theme Collection

I've been on a Mickey and Friends kick lately, I guess. I've made 4 new albums with the Mickey theme! I guess maybe it goes back to my childhood as I was a HUGE Mickey fan. I had Disney clothes, Minnie roller skates, matching Mickey and Minnie head-shaped pillows, Disney blankets, a sleeping bag that was shaped like Mickey...complete with hands and feet sticking out and a pillow in the shape of his head. I even had my entire room decorated with Mickey and Friends...wallpaper and border, bedding, a rug and some Disney pictures. I was a fan til the end :) When I was 16, my parents finally took my to Disney World. I had to have my picture taken with every character I met :) Though I would have much rather gone as a child...it was a trip to remember! So here is my new Mickey and Friends Collection: Hopefully I will be getting them added to my Etsy shop soon. I have another craft show on Nov. 8 and thought maybe I would wait until after then to list them...if I can wait that long!!! Do you have any Disney childhood memories...I'd love to hear them :)
