Over the weekend I attended my cousin's baby shower. I knew I wanted to make her something personalized since they had the baby's name chosen and colors and decor for his nursery.
I decided on a cute painted sign with his name and some arrows on it. I thought I had this designed to fit the entire board, but got my dimensions off and only engraved 12 inches instead of 18! Many times when "mistakes" occur in engraving, there isn't much to do in ways of fixing it. But I was determined to find a way to make this sign work. That's when I came up with the idea to add a wooden frame! I cut the frame and a second wooden piece as a ledge to go behind it that the picture can just be slid into from the top.
Viola! Mistake? What Mistake :)
The sign is great and your "mistake" made it better than ever. Good save!
ReplyDeletehaha...what a cool idea to fix it! we would have never known that it was not meant to be like this...lovely!!
