Woodland Name Albums

I recently finished the cutest set of Name Albums! The woodland theme has been going strong for quite a while now and I'm surprised I haven't made more woodland albums. This set was a little challenging as the buyer wanted purple & cream and blue & brown for colors. Typically woodland things are brown and green, so these colors were a little tricky, but I was up for the challenge :)

The first thing I did was head to Etsy to find some great digital paper packs. I downloaded this one from Mod Paperie. And this one from Digital Stories. Both shops allow for small commercial use, which was perfect for this project.

I was then able to edit the papers in Photoshop to make them the colors I needed. I made certain things purple and other things blue to tie in with the colors of the albums.

 

And decorating these albums was lots of fun! All the little woodland creatures are just so cute. I'm glad this trend has stayed popular!

Umba Box

You've heard of the Fruit of the Month Club, right? Each month you get a different basket of fruit sent right to your door. How cool would it be to get a basket of handmade goodies sent to your door each month? Well, a company called Umba Box does just that! Each month subscribers get a handmade treat delivered to them! And I was lucky enough to get to take part in one of their recent boxes!!!

My Woodland Magnets were selected to go out in January's Umba Box!!!

They are a great company to work with and my contact person was super nice and answered all my questions quickly.

I had to redesign my packaging a bit so they would fit inside a 2" mailing tube to go along with a poster that was shipped. And I made miniature business cards to go inside the packages too. That's 215 magnets and biz cards headed out to people who love handmade...how awesome is that!

I really hope to work with Umba Box again! I have several items that I think would work well for their handmade boxes!

Woodland Madness

I've been creating up a storm lately and one theme has been coming up a lot in all of my new creations...Woodland Creatures! I'm not normally a cutesy-type person, but when it comes to woodland creatures, I have to say I'm pretty smitten :)

I've added 3 new woodland themed items to my shop this week and I have more to come! These hair pins above are my favorite :) I think they'd look just as cute in a little girls hair or an adults. I'll have a couple more sets to list soon as well! (decorative and butterflies)

I had magnets in my shop a while back and I've decided to reintroduce them. I'm making them a little different now and cutting each one with my laser instead of using precut wooden discs. This gives me so much more freedom with the designs. Of course I had to start with my Woodland Themed Magnets first! I also have a set with just owls. (And many more sets in several themes to come soon!)

I also made these little stud earrings. They're just 1/2" in diameter, so they're so dainty and cute! I made a set with deer, owls and trees.The small size makes them perfect for little ears as well as adult ears.

This is what I have listed so far and I also have dangle earrings and woodland ornaments to get listed still! I'm so excited about all my new creations! My brain is in overdrive with all the possibilities my laser has to offer!

What trend are you loving right now?

New Ideas...They Just Keep Coming

I just can't keep my brain from working over time! I've had a pretty nasty cold this week, but my brain refused to stop working...a good problem to have I guess :)

I've come up with two more new ideas for my Etsy Shop that I just love! As I talked about on Monday, looking at our own shops can be the best place to find inspiration! Expand on existing lines and come up with new ideas :)

This Recipe Book uses the same concept as my guest books, but it has cute little kraft-colored recipe cards inside :) And of course, it can be personalized upon request!

I've also been working on a line of engraved baby photo albums as well. This Woodland Baby Album is next in the series! I love the woodland theme on the wood cover...how perfect!

I'm sure I'll be back soon with more ideas for you to see :) This brain of mine just keeps on tickin'!
