Baby Name Album - Elephants

My most recent custom name album was for an adorable baby book. The nursery is decorated in mainly elephants with a few other jungle animals as well. I had so much fun finding cute embellishments for this book!

Nathan's Elephant Book
(sorry for the terrible photos, these pastels made them hard to edit!)

Adorable elephant embellishments

And other cute little jungle animals

I have these books deactivated in my shop as I catch up on 4 other albums! I will relist them as soon as possible, but they won't be in my shop for long. I will be deactivating them again in early November (or sooner if orders require it). So if you've been thinking about a custom name album for a Christmas gift, please contact me so I can ensure your order :)

Woodland Name Albums

I recently finished the cutest set of Name Albums! The woodland theme has been going strong for quite a while now and I'm surprised I haven't made more woodland albums. This set was a little challenging as the buyer wanted purple & cream and blue & brown for colors. Typically woodland things are brown and green, so these colors were a little tricky, but I was up for the challenge :)

The first thing I did was head to Etsy to find some great digital paper packs. I downloaded this one from Mod Paperie. And this one from Digital Stories. Both shops allow for small commercial use, which was perfect for this project.

I was then able to edit the papers in Photoshop to make them the colors I needed. I made certain things purple and other things blue to tie in with the colors of the albums.

And decorating these albums was lots of fun! All the little woodland creatures are just so cute. I'm glad this trend has stayed popular!

New Name Albums

I recently completed another set of Custom Name Albums. As always, I love the different themes and color combos my customers request. This most recent order had such a fun variety.

Brooklyn is in love with science and is especially in love with the solar system. Her book was all about the sun and planets. Each page had a different planet stick as well as the name of the planet on it.

Raven is the wild child and has a love for anything zebra print. Her favorite color is purple, so of course her book is too.

Dante is the sports nut. He plays everything from soccer to baseball and everything in between. I used primary colors for this book to help tie in all the different sports.

Hayden's favorite colors are pink and lime green and she loves mermaids. Not really The Little Mermaid from the movie, just mermaids in general. Along with her pink and lime green, I added a teal blue which reminded me of the ocean and her cute mermaids.

I'm currently working on two fun woodland themed books...one for a boy and one for a girl. I can't wait to share those when they are finished as well.

Recent Name Albums

I had another fun order for Name Albums recently. This is a repeat buyer who had very specific requests for these albums. Her first album was for a soon-to-be graduate.

She sent along special papers that I was able to use on the outside of the book as well as embellishments inside the book.

Her next book was a lot of fun to make. Each page was for a specific person, so each page was a different color to correlate with their interests.

One for a couple who likes to travel...

One for a new baby...

And one for a tennis loving couple...

I love the colors in both these albums and how they turned out! I never get tired of seeing all the fun new requests for these albums!

Recent Name Albums

I recently finished a set of 3 Custom Name Albums. I always love seeing what colors and themes my buyers will choose!

The nautical theme is very popular right now. I have several anchor items in my shop, but have never made a nautical album. I love the red and navy together!

This album is a nickname for Grandma Lovey...MaLovey. Grandma chose a beachy theme for her album...the colors are so great together!

And Alexandra's album is in pretty pastels perfect for a new baby girl :)

Recent Name Albums

I've been working on a fair amount of Name Albums since the holiday rush. I always love all the different themes and color combos that people ask for. Here are my 3 most recent and I have 4 more in the works!

Tiff's was my favorite to work on. Not only are the letters easy (bonus), but her book is in my favorite colors :) This was a birthday gift with a best friends theme.

And Simona's album is just as fun with a travel theme and bright adventurous colors.

Braelyn's album was also one of my favorites. As someone with an unusual name, I like making name albums for people who can't find other things with their name on it at a store. That makes these albums even more special :) I also liked Braelyn's album because it was in non-traditional colors for a little girl. Her nursery is decorated in greens and browns with an elephant theme..how fun!

Did you like buying things with your name on it as a child?
I remember going to Silver Dollar City every year and never getting to buy a personalized pencil because they never had my name. Now I can create my own :)

Recent Name Albums

I've recently had the opportunity to create several Name Albums. What I love most about these books is that they are great for any occasion. There are baby books, birthday books, celebration books, etc here.
This first book was fun to create. Not only did I create the book itself, but I designed some of the papers and embellishments to match a Harry Potter theme request.
And I always love when I get to design books in some of my favorite colors. Pink and lime green is just so great. This little girl was so happy with her book :)

And we can't forget the little boys either. This color combo remains to be a favorite for little boys.

This was my favorite book to make recently. I was sent the photos to add to the book. This allows me to design around the photos making sure there is room for all of them. I also allows me to decorate them a little more as I can crop the photos to fit to the page. I love getting to see the books all completed :)

And I have 3 more books in the works as we speak!

Bittersweet

I recently had the opportunity to make an adorable album for a little boy. The theme was all about transportation...trains, trucks, cars, planes...which I just love. But this was also a very hard album for me to make. The little boy's name was Jimmy.

As many of my readers know, my brother, Jim, passed away in April. His childhood nickname was Jimmy. Every time I worked on this album I thought of my brother. I thought of the car-shaped bed he had and that I just had to have when he out grew it. I thought of the photo of him and our grandpa in grandpa's ultralight. I thought of all the tonka trucks he had when he was little.

It is still very hard to think of my brother, but it was great to remember all those wonderful memories while working on this book. I hope little Jimmy loves his album :)

Recent Name Albums

I just finished another batch of Custom Name Albums last week and wanted to show you the fun colors I got to work with this time!

I started with Isaiah for a baby boy album. His was a pretty standard baby boy album with light blues and greens, but I threw in a fun brighter blue to mix it up a little. I love the addition of the bright color to a normally pastel color scheme.

Next was Lincoln. His was also a baby boy album, but again, the buyer wanted brighter colors. I found these really fun textured papers in pretty greens, then added that same bright blue. The buyer absolutely loved the dotted papers :)

I also got to do an album in my favorite color combo...pink, purple and aqua for Victoria. Her mom asked me to make it "girly", so I used lots of flowers, butterflies, fun sayings all in these great girly colors.

Have you been working with any fun colors lately?
