April Blog Carnival-New Listing!!!
RainyDayArt gave us these two options for the April 9th EtsyBloggers blog carnival:
1) Spring is a time for new things and growth. Tell us about a new item and what inspired you to create it.
2) Easter is April 4, what family traditions do you do for Easter?
I did have a wonderful Easter celebrating with my family :) We got together at my grandparent's house (as we always do) and ate lunch and told stories. Time with family is always wonderful!
But I'm more excited to show you my new listing! I've been getting ready for craft shows and working on custom albums that I haven't had a new listing in a while! I've been dying to use this cute cupcake paper ever since I bought it and I just couldn't resist using the hot pink index cards I've had in my stash! They were meant for each other :)

What a Great Weekend!!!
I had such an amazing and productive weekend! I love three day weekends! Why can't they all be that way?
I don't know if was the sun shining or a burst of creative energy, but I got so much done!
Thursday:
*Cleaned house/did laundry
*Finished one custom album
*Finished 4 bare custom albums
*Started two more custom albums
Friday:
*Finished the two custom albums from Thursday
*Made 40 more invitations for my cousin's wedding
Saturday:
*Finished my EtsyBloggers Journal Swap journal
(okay, technically it's late...but it's done!)
*Started 4 recipe books
Sunday:
*Finished the recipe books
*Packed up 4 orders to send out Monday
*Made a new item to put in my shop
(You'll have to wait til tomorrow to see it!)
I wish every weekend could be this productive! Now I just have to figure out how to make my week that productive too :)

Spring Trim
For some the signs of spring may include green grass, flowers blooming, birds chirping, etc. For us...the true sign of spring is Harley's first trim :) For the last couple of years we have been getting him trimmed (and shaved in the summer) and he is sooooo happy that we do :) His hair get so long...and so matted! He loves to be outside and in the warmer months it can be terrible with all that hair!
Excuse the poor photo...he wouldn't stick around long enough for a good shot! (Daddy was eating breakfast!) But here is our sign of spring:

Friday Features-Good Friday
Every Friday in my book is a "Good Friday", but I suppose this one is a little more special :) I hope everyone is enjoying their Easter weekend. I got off work yesterday morning and I'm enjoying this three day weekend!!!
Of course today's Friday Features are all about Easter. And what better place to go looking for Easter goodies than Etsy...and with my fave team...the EtsyBloggers!!!

First Quarter Review
I thought it would be fun idea to take a look at my goals for 2010 and see how I am doing at the end of the first quarter. I think it's important to periodically look at goals to see if you are on track or if adjustments need to be made.
I thought I would break this down into Blog Goals and Shop Goals as I feel they deserve separate attention.
Blog Goals:
- One of my goals is to post EVERYDAY on this blog. For the entire first quarter of 2010...I am accomplishing this goal!!! I have started scheduling more posts and keeping with my Wordless Wednesday and Friday Features posts :)
- Another goal was to reach 100 followers. I started the year with 80 followers and I am already up to 90...so I'd say this goal is right on track too!
- I also wanted to change the layout of my blog and make it a three column design. As you can see...I got this done too!!!
- One area I am falling short in is my giveaways. I wanted to start doing more giveaways, but still haven't gotten to this part. I did participate in the One World One Heart giveaway, but that is it so far. I am still trying to decide if I want to host my own giveaways or have well known giveaway blogs do this for me.
Shop Goals:
- One of my biggest shop goals is to have 120 sales in 2010! So far this year I have had 23 (according to Etsy). I don't like that they count multiples as one order...but oh well. This is almost 8 sales per month and at this rate, I will not reach my goal of 120. But knowing that my sales in November and December are my highest months, I still believe I can meet this goal :)
- Another shop goal is to reach 350 shop hearts. I started with 267 and I am now at 294. This equals 9 hearts per month and at this rate I will exceed my goal of 350!!!
- My last shop goal is to keep my 100% feedback rating. I truly believe I make a quality product and offer excellent customer service, so this goal should be a piece of cake :)
