I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! I know I'm not ready to be back to work, but Christmas is just around the corner :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Over the weekend, I had my final fall show. There were only 4 vendors and we set up at the local winery that I sell on consignment at. It was a pretty slow day, but that didn't stop us from making sale :) I set up my booth about the same as I have been for my fall shows this year.
The one thing I noticed between on Open House as opposed to a Craft Show is that there may not be many people, but they are there just for YOU! There wasn't much competition with only 4 of us and we all had different items.
We each invited a handful of people that we knew were interested in our items and the winery helped advertise as well. Next year we hope to do this again and put an ad in the paper as well.
All in all, I was happy with the day and hope we to do this again :)
Now it's time to get busy on all my custom orders!!!
Your display looks great!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
What a nice venue and your table looks amazing!! How nice to not have to compete :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a successful day! I'm just tiptoe-ing into consignment sales (hopefully). I have a second meeting with the shop owner on Thursday. Have a great week.
Congrats on your show! I'm glad to hear there wasn't much competition. Must have made you all the happier and calmer. :)
ReplyDeleteHooray for your show! Aren't little events like this the best? I did one at somebody's house earlier in the month and made my highest one-day profit to date--which I wasn't expecting at all because it was so intimate!
ReplyDeletethat's nice that you all had different items. Hope word gets around and the event is publicized better next year. Was the winery giving little tastes? That would also get people in the door {:-D
ReplyDeleteglad the show went well. Small shows like that can be fabulous. I got to set up once in the home of a Mary Kay distributor. She has an annual meeting with her reps which includes a meal. There were only about 3 vendors. Not only did people simply shop, they carefully looked over our wares and chatted with us. Sales were good!
ReplyDeleteI hope this show gets better and better for you.
Sounds awesome! Much less pressure than a big show, yea?
ReplyDeleteIt's always great to learn from what we are doing. Tweeking it for next year can add anticipation and fun! Good luck next year!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the show! Your display looks great! The wineries around here were having open houses too and the ones we drove by were packed. Wish you were closer!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a fun way to set up shop! And it is a learning experience.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that things went well! Even though it wasn't too busy, it's great not to have a lot of competition. I hope that next year you get even more traffic.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all of your Christmas orders!
What a great way to get people to learn about your business and the winery.
