I've had my eye on these oven mitts in LeAnn's shop for quite some time and when she recently began a sale, I knew it was time to buy myself a little present :)
Knowing my preference for pink, LeAnn was surprised when I bought a red and white oven mitt. I told her I really would have loved the pink one, but the red and white matches my kitchen perfectly. Here it is hanging on my kitchen cupboards...a match made in heaven, right!
I had a hard time using the oven mitt the first time as it is so pretty and perfect! LeAnn takes such care when making her mitts. She lines up the fabric so the chevron's match at the seams...I love attention to detail! And it is the best made oven mitt I've ever owned! I love that it's lined on the inside too! Most cheap mitts just have the batting inside and it always ends up coming out and being all stuck to my hand...yuk. Not this mitt...the lining makes it soft and extra heat-resistant.

ReplyDeleteVery snazzy--both the mitt and your cupboards! I'd have a hard time using that mitt, too--I'm a very sloppy cook . . .

What a fun gift for yourself!! I love LeAnn's oven mitts!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised you got red, too! For a second I thought it was my monitor playing tricks on me, haha.
ReplyDeleteDid you guys put the red on your cabinets, or were they already like that? It's a cool detail!
Your new oven mitt is adorable! Your cabinets are so fun. Red really brightens up a room and makes it happy.
ReplyDeleteWow! That mitt looks great against your cabinets! LOVE your cabinets!!
ReplyDeleteLeAnn does wonderful work -- I bought a couple of baby bibs from her and they were beautifully done :)
The red matches perfectly, and I love the cheerful chevron and polka dots. It's wonderful to hear that LeAnn's work is so high quality (not that I doubted it!).
ReplyDeleteThat's your kitchen?! It is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you treated yourself! You deserve it. And I love LeAnn's shop! I actually went there yesterday to look at the oven mitts, but the "Nana" in me came out instead and I ended up ordering the cutest elephant baby bib! It's going to go in her Christmas stocking at Nana's house.
ReplyDeleteI always notice and appreciate when someone takes the time to line up patterns and seams!
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen cupboards!! I love them! Is that a cabinet or what all or your cupboards look like? That's a nosy question, I know. ;) But it's so fun and cheery!
LeAnn does a great job on her mitts! I think I need one!
