Birthday Bash!!!

Saturday night my best friend and I had our birthday party at my house...it was SO much fun! Good friends and good times...what more could you ask for on a Saturday night! Of the over 100 photos I took that night...I thought I'd share a few with you :)

Friday Feature :)

I love to buy stuff on Etsy! And I love to feature those items here on my blog. My latest purchase...and one of my all time favorites was from AKeepersJackpot. I bought this gorgeous choker and I'm dying to wear it!!! I will definitely have it on during my birthday party tomorrow night!!! I took a couple of pics of me with it on :)

A Keeper's Jackpot is an anagram using the nicknames of my husband, myself, and our two cats. I got into beading after my sister gave me a handmade beaded necklace as a gift a couple years ago. I love this necklace because of it's great shape! And the colors make it so you could wear it with anything...love the versatility!

These earrings are so cute and I love the colors. I'm a sucker for anything with turquoise and the red really sets them off!

This necklace may just have to be my next purchase. The shape of the pendant is similar to the one I bought, but there is so much detail to this necklace. I love all the accent beads and how they make the necklace come together to create such a beautiful piece!!!

April Giveaway!!!

No joke about it...another giveaway today!!! First I'd like to announce the winner of my March Giveaway...The Giveaway Diva. Random.org chose lucky # 27. The Diva has so many great giveaways on her blog that I suppose random.org knew it was her turn to win :)

Now onto the April Giveaway. I was going to do a Mother's Day card since it is just around the corner...but I couldn't resist doing a Birthday Card. This is, after all, my birth month...so I have birthdays on the brain!!! (April 7th in case you wanted to know when to send my present!)

This card is made with a textured lavender cardstock base. I then took another piece of textured cardstock and added even more texture with a dry embossing folder. I layered on a light yellow cardstock strip, some patterned paper pieces and a Happy Birthday sentiment. I added a yellow flower with a purple rhinestone to top it off :) I love how this card has so much dimension to it!

New Color Combos

Making new Custom Word Albums means getting to play with new color combos :) That's one thing I love about the custom albums...all the new possibilities!

Typically I get stuck on light pink and white for baby girl albums. But for this album, she wanted it to match the baby's nursery...so we went with lavender and light green. A lovely combo!

And black and white is no new combo for wedding albums, but I love how the hot pink in this one really makes it Pop! It gives the album lots of personality and a fun look :)

Weekly Feature

I got so excited about being part of the Artisans Challenge this week, that I almost forgot to post my Weekly Feature today! This week I have for you my HOME Word Album. I like this album because you can put so many different photos in it. They don't have to be from the same event. They don't have to be from the same year. Everything happens in the home...you can put any photos you like in it :) And one of my favorite features is the "O" cut in the shape of a house. I think it adds a nice touch :) The album measures 4"x12" and is made of heavy-duty chipboard for a nice sturdy album.
