I just got back from a nice 3-day weekend off work!!! I also took a little bloggy break and mostly computer break. (Had to check the shop, of course)
Wanna see what I've been up to :)
We spent almost the whole three days on the river! The river is one of the only places I've found where I can completely relax :) I'm not thinking about other things I should be doing. I'm not thinking about getting home. I'm not thinking about the computer. I'm just relaxing :) I can enjoy myself without 50 other things going through my head! I have a hard time doing that sometimes, but I can always relax on the river :)
What do you do to relax?
the river! basically i love water so river is one of my favourite places to spend a day to relax :)

Sewing relaxes me, especially hand sewing. I like swimming too.
ReplyDeleteGrew up and continued to spend my life near salt water. We have a small beach not to far from here, where you can drive right to the sand, take about 12 steps and be in the water. This is where I soak, bob, rejuvenate, people/boat watch, totally let go and relax. Water is such a soothing place to become one again.
ReplyDeleteVery much enjoyed sharing your boating weekend with you. Did you jump too?
It looks like you had a fun and relaxing time. I love sitting on the pier and fishing or looking out at the beach to relax. I love water too. The waves calm and relax me.
ReplyDeleteI'm another one who loves being near water. We live on the banks of the North Edisto River. It's little more than a creek this time of year, but it's still beautiful and peaceful.
ReplyDeletelooks like you all had a blast! I love being by the water - it's so relaxing! {:-D
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteReading is my favorite way to relax. Other times I find that exercise is a good stress remover, but it's not always a good time to get sweaty, you know?
Wonderful! I actually have been spending a lot of time this summer on the "lazy river" at the local water park. Just lazin' along on an inner tube. Great way to relax and get some Vitamin D. :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Edi!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have an extended weekend off once in a while :)
Loved your slideshow!!!
Great collection of photos! I'm glad that you had such a good weekend relaxing with family.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Looks like a fun time! I relax anywhere near water too or even hiking with Sadie in the forest. Thanks for sharing your weekend!
ReplyDeleteaaahhhh...looks and sounds so wonderful! glad you had this time to relax. When I'm on vacation, I can forget my other "real" life for the most part.
ReplyDeleteWell, I guess the only time that I really relax is when I read, or watch TV (or movie)although I often work on the computer and watch TV at the same time--that's not relaxing! When I am in a book, I am occupied and my mind is not on all the other problems! My mind is diverted!
ReplyDeleteWhat great photos! :) I'm so glad you had a lovely, relaxing vacation! We all need to refresh our Spirit sometimes, away from computers and all that goes with them! I find the ocean has that same soothing effect on me. :)
