Friday Features - World Traveler

One of the things I find coolest about Etsy is the international scope it offers! I never imagined I'd ship a package to Abu Dabi or Norway! This past week alone I shipped to three new-to-me locations: Malaysia, Brazil and the Philippines! I just think it's so cool to have my products all over the world! It's just too bad I can't go every where they go :)

I'd love to have a world map where I can pin all the locations I've mailed to. I hope to ship to all 50 states! Alaska is the only one I can think of that I haven't shipped to, but I'd have to check for sure. And how cool to be able to mark all the international locations as well! I just wish I would have paid more attention in geography class!

Today's features are inspired by my desire for a map or globe to display.

I LOVE that this one has the names of each country!

You know I can't pass up pink :)

This one would be good for a smaller space

Hmmm...toss up between pink and teal!

  1. I feel the same way! That's what is so great about Etsy :)
And I've been thinking exactly the same thing about pinning all the places I've sold to on a map!

  2. I used to really like geography--now I can't remember which states goes where on one of those wooden puzzles.
I have mailed to Alaska and Hawaii--now I need to do something closer like North Dakota.

  3. I've had that same six-panel canvas in my favorites for ages! It's so cool. Of course, I'd probably get it in gray. :-)

  4. It's always so exciting to send a parcel to a new place! For me, most of the times is just digitally but still very nice :)

  5. That would be amazing!! Here I am thinking of a DIY way...what if you got a roll of giant cork board, framed it out, then projected a world map to paint on it???

  6. I can relate (on a small scale). When I present my small customs form at the neighborhood post office, the clerk now asks, "More oven mitts?"

I jokingly call myself an international entrepreneur. Last week I shipped orders to France and Norway, and my husband suggested that I should get a push pin world map! Great minds....
Every time I get a new order he asks, "Where's this one going to?"

  7. This is something that I have been wanting to do for some time. My husband and I are getting a new home next month and I will have a bigger-ish office. maybe I will finally get around to doing this with our new space.

  8. That would be fun to keep track of the countries we mail our items too! I find it amazing when I see photos of my blog friends in the U.K. and they are wearing something that I made here in Oregon. I never get tired of seeing that!

  10. So happy to see this post! I was so happy when over the last two weeks I sent to Norway, the US, Canada, England, and Australia! I was thinking about all those places having something from me. So cool!

  11. What a great idea for a feature! I love the panels. It's always neat to ship to new places. Having a map of all of the places you shipped would be really neat.

  12. I think there's a feature somewhere that helps you map out where things have sold. I'll have to look & if it's still around I will let you know. I was notoriously bad w geography until I had kids, now I always make sure to learn where places are to set a better example! Love that teal map.

  14. I kind of like the idea of a map pinboard showing all the places to which you've shipped. Now the question is: where would I put it?

  15. It is so exciting to have items shipped all over the world, and I think a map to mark all the places your items have been shipped is a great idea. I'm sure one day you will be able to travel to where ever you want.
