Hannah Montana Flip Flops Done!!!

I finally had a chance to get the Hannah Montana Flip Flop Album Done this week :) I just got them added to my shop today!

Labor Day Weekend Is Upon Us!!!

It is officially here! Labor Day Weekend! They say this is the end of summer....so I thought I would live it up this weekend :) This morning we had coworkers and friends out to our house after work...yeah, we work graveyard! We had a lot of fun chatting, playing cards, grilling out, and even having a couple of beers! Essex, the town I live in (and grew up in), is the Southwest Iowa hub for Labor Day action. Tomorrow Jesse is golfing in the annual tournament (only his second time golfing!) and I am working at the event. I'm excited to see lots of old faces back in town :) Then tomorrow night they are having 4-wheeler and dirt bike races that we will attend. The best part about local events is that you know almost everyone participating, so you can cheer every time someone races :) Sunday will be a great rest day! We will probably need it by then! There are tons of events scheduled, but we will mostly just relax. I am going to try and make the all school reunion...which is an event held for anyone ever graduating from Essex High School. I think it will be a good time to catch up with some old classmates :) I also have a wedding reception I will try and go to that afternoon as well. Monday is the BIG day in Essex. There will be a big parade full of fire trucks and marching bands :) And then in the afternoon there is the demolition derby! My cousin is entering a car for the second year and we'll all be anxious to watch! There is also a poker run, a scavenger hunt, three street dances, kids games, and much, much more to do over the weekend in Essex! New Photo Purse

I'm so excited! I finally got layouts done for my new purse! I am so happy with them too :) It's kind of strange scrapping in a different size than I am used to...these are 8x10 and I am used to 12x12. It keeps my creative juices flowing!

The purse isn't exactly what I was looking for, but how can you pass up a purse you can scrapbook on :) Now I just need to try and keep up with changing the layouts every month or two!

Sturgis Begins!

I thought with it being the first day of Sturgis and all, I would post some layouts of last year's rally. We had such a good time and the scenery was just amazing. It's really surprising how much more you pay attention to your surroundings when you're on a bike compared to in a car. It sounds corny, but you feel like one with nature on a bike!

We got to see all the great South Dakota tourist attractions: Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Spearfish Canyon, Custer State Park, and much more. It was a nice relaxing vacation and it makes me want to go back. So for those of you already there or on your way...have a blast :)

I had a lot of fun collecting ephemera to go in my Sturgis mini album. On the first page shown, I used a patch and a magnet...also shown in last photo. These things may not always be archival safe though, so keep an eye on that if that is important to you. Some things can be sprayed with archival mist, but others will have to be left as is.

On the second 2-page layout, there are three different shots of Mt. Rushmore. I used a post card, a photo I took, and a sticker all of the same sight...just with different perspectives. Post cards are great in scrapbooking because they usually feature an uncluttered shot that you may not be able to get from your view. Not having other tourists in your shot is nice too :)

So next time your on a vacation, look at all the things around you and see a whole new world of scrapbook embellishments!

Disney Princess Flip Flop Album

I just added another flip flop album to my shop today :) This one is a Disney Princess one. I think it is something every little girl should have!!! What better way to display those adorable dress up photos!



I am having so much fun making these albums...I just can't stop :) Up next: Hannah Montana flip flops!!! They'll be in my shop soon!

This album is embellished with 3-D princess stickers on every other page. The other are embellished with Disney word stickers, paper flowers, rhinestones, and buttons. This one really came out CUTE!
