May Goals Review

In case you missed my post from Friday, May proved to be an awesome month! So awesome in fact, that I was able to QUIT MY JOB!!!
That puts me 6 months ahead of my goal of quitting in January...and it feels great!
Since my shop is rockin' I've decided to reevaluate some of my goals.

Shop Goals:
My original goal was to sell (on average) one item per day. In January and February, I was very close to this goal. And in March, April and May...I blew this goal out of the water! I had 82 sales in May! I really hope things keep up at this pace if not even better! For now I'm setting my goal at 2 sales (on average) per day for the month of June. As Fall nears, I may get brave and raise this to 3 per day!!!
And I'm raising the bar on Shop Admirers as well. My original goal was 750 by year-end. As I write this, I am already at 746! So I'm extending my goal to 1,000 admirers!

Blog Goals:
I am pretty happy with the goals I have set for my blog and am happy that I have been fulfilling them each month. My biggest goal now is to schedule blogs ahead of time and get used to my new schedule and work blogging into that.

Other Business Goals:
Now that I am self-employed full-time, it is time to get serious about expanding my business! There is a huge craft show in the fall that I want to participate in. In order to do this, I have to really get productive in building up my inventory!
I also want to contact some wedding planners in the area and see if they are willing to hand out fliers with my wedding information. I already have one contact...now my goal is to get those darn fliers made!
And since wedding items are my top sellers, I also want to contact some reception halls to see if they are interested in buying my items wholesale, or again, handing out fliers to brides and grooms. There is a new facility opening at a vineyard/winery that would be just perfect for so many of my items!

Personal Goals:
Now that I'm not working 2 full-time jobs, jogging/exercise is back on the goal list! It will feel so great to get out and jog again and take Harley for walks!

How was your May? Any exciting news? Time to reevaluate your goals as well?
I'd love to hear about them :)

  1. Congratulations, Wonder Woman! I am truly happy for your success!

May was by far my best month since the holidays, but not strong enough to convince me that my Etsy shop plus craft fairs and consignments could be my sole source of income between tax seasons. June is off to a disappointingly slow start so far.

  2. Woohoo! Congrats, Edi! That is awesome. I wish you continued success with your business. Good for you to take up jogging again! I bet Harely couldn't be happier having at home now :)

  3. this is all so exciting. Those wedding items are hot in the spring, when lots of people get married. I know you've thought of this too. Hope your Thanksgiving and Christmas items become real big sellers too. And the big craft fairs are definitely something to strive for. Hope you build up your inventory really big! So Exciting! {:-D

  4. Congratulations Edi!!!! This is so exciting! Your business is going to grow really fast now that you have more time to do the marketing you have planned. Being able to incorporate exercise back into your schedule, you are going to be feeling great!!

  5. Having all of the extra time to work on your biz is going to be AWESOME. I can't wait to hear how things go with the wedding planners/venues. :-)

  6. That sounds like a lovely mix! I'm sure it feels great to be able to have the time to focus on exactly what you need to do to grow your business! And I'm happy for you that you'll be able to get back to running too!

  7. That is awesome news! May was my best month yet also. You are an inspiration. I hope to quit my day job too sometime soon down the road. I need more time to run ;) Keep rockin it Edi!

  8. CONGRATULATIONS EDI!!!! This is sooooo exciting!!! How does it feel not to work for anyone anymore? Pretty awesome, right?!

  9. Congrats! I am sure you will surpass these new goals too :D

  10. I am so excited for your new goals and all of the new plans that you have for your shop! It sounds like you have some great opportunities and options in the works with shows, wedding items, etc. Best of luck with everything!

  11. CONGRATS!!!!

  14. So happy for you, Edi! I really need to look at my goals again; haven't done that in a while, although I have been keeping very busy promoting my biz. Need to see where I stand with the goals

  15. Edi, congrats on exceeding all your goals that's awesome! Sound like you have a good plan in place for exceeding all your goals, I am sure you will be making 3 sales a day sooner then you think.
    Everyday Inspired

  16. You are rockin' on your goals, Edi! Congratulations on the rewards your hard work has brought you!

  17. The sharing of your goals along with Deb is what jump started mine last year and that makes such a huge difference! It is hard to know where you are going if you don't know where you are.
