My First Week

Last week was my first week of full-time self-employment. So how did it go? In a word...AMAZING!

*I love my new schedule! I'm up before the sun rises already getting work done.

*I got to exercise everyday!

*I got to spend more time with Harley :)

*Orders keep coming in...making me happy with my decision!

*And best of all, I didn't feel stressed and guilty over the weekend when I wasn't working every minute. We got to enjoy time with family and friends. And I knew come Monday I'd have plenty of time to get work done :)

I do think I might be working myself a little too hard though...I broke two nails working on projects last week...LOL :)

 How was your week?

  1. That's awesome, Edi!! I'm truly happy for you!
What a sweet pic of Harley :)

  2. This is so great! I like how you also made the decision to make sure your finances were order first--super smart:)

I featured one of your posts in today's It’s a Wrap Link Party at Artful Rising.

  3. I am so happy for you Edi! It is inspiring me to focus more on reaching that point too! I can only imagine how much easier it is to fit in exercise, chores and other things that get pushed off to the side sometimes. I hope your nails grow back quickly!

  4. I'm so glad your first week was awesome! It will only get better from here. :-)

  5. I'm glad your first week went so well! I'm sure it has to be a huge relief to not be at that other job wondering how many orders were waiting for you when you got home. It's a bonus to have extra time with Harley and fun too!

  6. Sounds like it was a fun and productive week! You go, girl!!

  7. So happy for you, Edi! I'm glad to hear that things are going well. Some people think it's funny, but one thing that I love about working from home is spending time with Angel. (She loves it, too, as I'm sure Harley does.) I hope that this week is just as good for you.

  8. Oh, that's wonderful to hear. I'm glad you had a reduced-stress week. After all, we need a bit of stress to keep the momentum going, right?? Glad you had some time to work in fun things without worrying about getting work done!

  9. I have to admit that I spend most of my "free" time working on my blog and shop. I can't imagine what it's like having free time on the weekend to spend with family. I'm still getting used to being home from vacation. I think I'll take Friday off to relax, away from the computer! {:-D

  10. Sounds like a great week to me! It's a wonderful feeling when you get to do things on your own schedule. The hard thing about working your business full time, is knowing when to take a break.
    Everyday inspired

  11. I'm so excited for you Edi! Self employment is freaking awesome, even if we do work harder!

  12. How wonderful! Many congratulations on this new step! :)
