Friday Features - Furbaby Christmas

After posting about my New Ornaments yesterday, I went searching on Etsy for other cute Christmas items for our furry friends. I think I spent hours oohing and aahing over the adorable items I found! Today I'm featuring 4 of my favorite finds, enjoy :)

What are you getting your furbaby for Christmas this year?

Harley Meets Charlie

Jesse's brother and his girlfriend got a new puppy and Harley got to meet him for the first time yesterday :) Charlie is a Great Dane and is only 8 weeks old...he's already bigger than Harley who just turned 6 last week!
Harley wasn't quite sure what to think of Charlie! Harley is used to being the "big dog" around here. Of course he's the only dog around here and chases the cats around all day, so he thinks he's 7 feet tall...LOL :)
Charlie wanted to play and pounced around while Harley ran circles...it was so funny and so cute!
Charlie sure is a cutie! But look at those paws! These two won't get to play together much longer! Charlie's feet will be bigger than Harley!

Remembering Pandi

One year ago today, my little sisfur crossed the bridge. She was 17 years old and lived the best life a dog could have asked for :) And she had the best parents who loved her dearly!!!
I went thought my old pictures this weekend and found some of Pandi growing up. It was so fun to reminisce and see her as a pup again :) I thought I'd share a slide show I put together.

And here is the layout I made last year after she passed. I was never more happy that I had this photo taken!!!
To Mom, Dad and Lucky: You are in my thoughts today!

Love Your Pet Day :)

It's been a little while since I've done a post about an obscure holiday. And when I saw this one on the calendar, I knew I couldn't pass it up :)
Pets bring so much joy into our lives! I cannot imagine coming home and not being greeted by a wagging tail and kisses galore :) Harley has so much personality and makes me laugh everyday! Pets are good for our health...and good for our souls :)
Harley and I wish you a Happy Love Your Pet Day!

A Special Thank You!!!

I want to send out a special Thank You to JudyCootie!!! You've seen Judy's work featured on my blog before here and here and now I must feature her again :) I purchased one of Judy's Custom Painted Wooden Keepsake Boxes for my parents and I couldn't be happier!!! My parents' older dog (and my little sister) passed away recently and I knew this would be the perfect gift for them! I went ahead and put both dogs on the box so they can always remain together :) Judy's work is absolutely stunning! I emailed her a couple photos of the dogs and she did a wonderful job of replicating them on the box! My mom said it looks like Lucky (the one on the right) is looking right at us! So cool! If you're looking for a special gift...or a gift for yourself...definitely check out Judy's shop! You'll find lots of wonderful treasures :)

In Remembrance

I received terrible news yesterday that my parent's dog (and my sweet sisfur) had passed away. She was 17 years old and lived a wonderful life, but her passing was still hard on the whole family!
So in remembrance of my little sisfur...I knew I needed to make this layout. I got to see her for one last time this summer and knew it would be the last, so I made sure to get a picture with her and my other sisfur :) This picture is truly a treasure!
My sisfur's passing got me to thinking of other furry friends loved and lost. I cannot believe it will be 2 years tomorrow since our sweet Sidney left us! She was the best furbaby and has yet to be replaced!
There must be something with this time of year, because we also lost our first furbaby on Oct. 7, 2005! Mr. Bo Jangles was the first dog Jesse and I got together. He was such a character and had so much energy!
So today I am taking some time to reflect on my furry friends and all the love they brought into our lives. I cannot imagine my life without furbabies in it! The loss is hard, but a life without them ever in it is just unbearable. Take time today to hug your furbabies...I know I will be :)

Friday Features-Going to the Dogs

As many of you know...my furbabies are my kids :) So I thought I would feature some great Etsy finds on dogs today!
Since Harley is a Pomeranian, I had to feature a great find on poms :) This Needle Felted Custom Dog Sculpture by gfelted caught my eye right away! The attention to detail is amazing!
Our angel furbaby Sidney was a Rottweiler, so I wanted to find a great rotty feature too :) This Handpainted Rottweiler Christmas Ornament by whitedogart is a good way to remember Sidney around the holidays. Or anytime of year...hang it in a window to see all year-round :)
My parents have two Rat Terriers and both are getting older. The mama dog is 17! And her baby is 12! So I thought this Custom Painted Wooden Keepsake Box by JudyCootie would be a nice gift for them to put the girls' collars, tags, and other mementos in after they pass. Mom...what do you think of this?
I also love this Custom Order Memorial Stone by dogsteppingstones! I would love to have one to place where Sidney rests! I just love custom items and this one is very special :)
I hope you enjoyed today's features. Don't worry, the cats aren't getting left out...we'll feature them next Friday :)

NEW Simply Stunning Series

Ever since I got my new toy...my Bind-It-All...I've had ideas rushing through my head as to what I can do with it! I have so many fun things I want to try :)
The first type of album I decided to make is something more for the non-scrapbooker. Someone who wanted a stylish way to display their photos, but not necessarily in a scrapbook. And I made it super easy too...photo corners included...and they are all fit for 4"x6" photos. No trimming, no gluing...just a cool way to show off your photos!!!
Here are the first 4 albums in the series:
I have so many others I want to make in this series! I may go on to some of my other ideas and come back to this series so I can get them out of my head and into the works :)
And I just have to show you these cute little Vacation Albums I made recently too :)
The covers started out as passport covers and I turned them into one-of-a-kind scrapbooks :) The red one is more travel/vacation themed and the blue one is beach/vacation themed! It feels so good getting new items in my shop! I love to do custom work, but I also like new projects :) A good mix is always nice!
Wanna win a Pink Vacation Album like the blue one above? See this post to find out how!
