Thankful Thursday

I am thankful everyday for my EtsyBloggers Team and teammates :) And today I want to send out an extra special Thank You to my teammate Ruthie :)

Each month Ruthie hosts a contest on her blog to see who leaves the most comments. She gives away gift certificates to her Etsy Shop and I've gotten so many awesome pieces of jewelry there!

I won a gift certificate back in December and hadn't used it yet. I knew Ruthie was going to be adding new rings to her shop and I just had to have one! In the meantime, I also won a gift certificate in February! (Previous winners aren't eligible for one month.) WooHoo...this meant I got a cool new ring and a pair of pink earrings :)

The minute I opened the package I put on the ring...and it fit like a dream! I worked in it all day making scrapbooks and never even noticed it was there. It so comfy and lays flat on my finger! And it's the perfect thickness too...not too tall I can't close my finger, but large enough you see lots of color :)

This Thursday I am thankful for a friend like Ruthie :)

BNR Treasury!!!

My friend Ruthie at Rosework's Jewelry has started a really fun BNR treasury! BNR stands for Buy-n-Replace. So if you buy something from one of the featured shops, you get your item featured in their place...how cool is that! I was so honored that Ruthie chose to add me to her treasury :)

Catching Up On Awards...

I love it when people pass awards on to me :) It really makes me feel awesome! But I have to admit...I'm terrible about posting them and passing them on! So I thought I was way past due on this post. I went all the way back to the end of April to find all my awards...so I hope I'm not missing any. The oldest one I found was from Ruthie at Rose Works Jewelry: This award doesn't come with any rules and is just a nice way to say thanks for commenting on my blog :) The next award is from Terronda at Unique Commodities: This award asks you to list 5 of your least favorite things. So here are mine:

And I received my most recent award again from Ruthie :) Isn't she great!

New Earrings!!!

I just love getting new jewelry...especially when it's free!!! You just can't beat free! My friend Ruthie over at Rose Works Jewelry is having a monthly contest to see who leaves the most comments. And I was the lucky winner for May :) This got me a $15 gift certificate to her shops and lookie what I got:

The African Opals are definitely my favorite. Pink, Teal, and Purple are about all my wardrobe consists of, so I can wear these with almost everything I own! And they are so colorful and fun...I love fun jewelry :) I got them in the mail yesterday and had to wear them to the wedding we attended last night.

Weekly Feature

Thanks to my friend Ruthie at RoseWorksJewelry, I was able to add a new widget to my side bar today. I have decided to do a weekly feature showing off one of my items from my Etsy Shop. I had previously had a paypal store widget, but didn't like that it had so much info at once...and I wasn't sure how (of if I could) add different shipping costs for different destinations. This new widget allows me to feature just one item at a time and keep it fresh with a new item each week :) You can see Ruthie's tutorial here and add your own Buy Now widget to your blog.

Here is my first Featured Item Of The Week. I chose my Custom Word or Name Album first because it is my most popular item in my store :) Everyone loves that they can get an album personalized just the way they want it. And they make great gifts too!!!

I was able to add three separate shipping costs as well...love that :) So let me know what you think. Do you like this option better/worse? Am I giving enough info about the item? Are there other options you use that you like better? I'd love to hear your thoughts :)

Meet Ruthie of RoseWorksJewelry

Today I would like to introduce you to one ambitious girl: Ruthie :) Not only does she run RoseWorksJewelry and has started a second shop with her mom called kstreasures...she also has three (yes, three!) blogs: http://roseworksjewelry.blogspot.com/ http://www.roseworkstreasury.blogspot.com/ http://ajedismusings.blogspot.com/ Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that she also hosts a radio show called Artisan Spotlight. Now that's a lot for one girl to do! I'm almost exhausted just telling you about it :) I really find Ruthie inspiring! She is such an active team member in our EtsyBloggers Team and is always giving complements and words of encouragement. She is always upbeat and has something positive to share :) She started making jewelry because some health issues kept her home more and she needed something to fill her days.
