I have to say, I was really happy with the sales of Valentine's Day cards this year! I don't remember selling more than a handful in years past and this year's sales were pretty nice.
One thing I noticed was that my popular mustache card from years past wasn't nearly as popular this year. In fact, I only sold one. And then I got to thinking that I hadn't sold very many mustache cuff links recently either. It makes me wonder if the mustache trend is finally over?
I am happy to report that my new Moon and Back design did really well. And now I need to get a sample made for 5th anniversary cards as I think this design will do well for anniversary cards as well.
What trends have you noticed fading or taking the spotlight recently?
Trends have a lifespan, I guess the moustache is nearing its end, but I'm glad owls are still going strong ;-) Love the "moon and back" cards and great idea to make anniversary cards as well!
ReplyDeleteWe are still enjoying our mustache glasses! I get a giggle from them every time. Love those 'moon and back' cards - so sweet
ReplyDeleteI think the mustache trend is out too. It's funny how trends come and go! I love your moon and back cards. Those will always be in. :)
ReplyDeleteThe moon and back cards are so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI love the moon ones. Congrats on the increase in sales ;) I love the mustache trend ends!
ReplyDeleteSo glad the Valentine cards worked for you. The mustache trend lasted a long time. In fabric collections I've been noticing arrows popping up. But I don't know if that's a new trend or if I'm just now seeing them!
ReplyDeleteI think I haven't seen as many mustache things available in stores recently, either, so that fits with your observation. Congrats on the card sales!
ReplyDeletelovely.
ReplyDeleteIt does seem like the mustache trend is finally dying down, which is refreshing. I really love the new moon design and hope that it does well for anniversary cards, too.
ReplyDeleteI hope the mustache trend is over! I never understood that one at all but then again, I didn't get the chevron one either. I'm not very trendy I guess! :)
ReplyDeleteI think mustaches are on the way out, too. Men are all into beards now, so that could be your new angle. Hahaha.
ReplyDeleteLove both the moon and the bike card! It is like that with trends, they come and go and then come back, we just have to keep up!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sad to see those mustaches on their way out. The beard can go too! I always wonder what is happening underneath all that facial hair!
ReplyDeleteI love the moon one, also. What material are your cards made from? Glad you had good sales. I am new online so low sales , but offline was good.
ReplyDeleteNo need to answer my question. I went over to your Etsy page. How unique.
ReplyDeleteI love these - they are so wonderful! If anyone is on the fence about buying Edi's cards I can highly recommend them :)
