Wordless Wednesday - My Crazy Boyfriend

Happy Birthday Jesse :)

Today is my boyfriend's 36th birthday...Happy Birthday Jesse :)

You've heard me mention before how much I love my customers and their requests and the timing couldn't have been more perfect on this one! I got a request for a wood card with a monster truck on it. And if you remember from this Wordless Wednesday, Jesse just bought another huge truck recently!

This is the original card for the customer's brother.

The wording is corny, but hey, I'm kinda corny :)

It was fun to get to make him a special card and I love the little cut out heart :)

 No big plans for a celebration, but I'm sure we'll get to celebrate this weekend!

An Adventure

On Saturday night, we celebrated Easter and my birthday with Jesse's family. The weather has been gorgeous, so we went to his aunt and uncle's in the afternoon and took some toys with us :) Jesse's niece and nephews love to ride on the 4-wheeler and enjoyed riding in the 6-wheeler for the first time too! Brody & Nicole riding with Daddy Dawson following Jesse on his 4-wheeler This was also the maiden voyage for the 6-wheeler to see if it actually floats! Here they go! We found out a little later why the 6-wheeler is leaning to one side...LOL! She floats!!! Don't they look like a couple of kids :) Uh Oh! It's a good thing it floats, because the motor just died!

Running again...and back on dry land!

Look at that face :) He's one happy kid!

Ohhhhh, now we see why it was leaning to one side! I guess it's not a 6-wheeler after all, it's more of a 5-wheeler! The tire feel off going down the road and none of us noticed...LOL! But it still kept on going and survived the maiden voyage with only 5 wheels :)

12 Years...And Counting!

I can't believe that Jesse and I had our first date 12 Years Ago today!

We met while he was working afternoons for the company we both work for now. I worked at TCBY/TacoMaker and he would come in on his supper breaks. He asked one of his friends about me and that friend just so happened to be dating one of my friends. We set up a double date and the rest is history :)

3-Day Weekend

I just got back from a nice 3-day weekend off work!!! I also took a little bloggy break and mostly computer break. (Had to check the shop, of course)

We spent almost the whole three days on the river! The river is one of the only places I've found where I can completely relax :) I'm not thinking about other things I should be doing. I'm not thinking about getting home. I'm not thinking about the computer. I'm just relaxing :) I can enjoy myself without 50 other things going through my head! I have a hard time doing that sometimes, but I can always relax on the river :)

Today I want to share a layout with you I did a while back. Looking at the calendar and seeing 10-10-10, it automatically made me think of this layout :) This layout is about 4 years old, but in reading through it, I realize that I love Jesse for all of the same reasons I did back then :)

Wordless Wednesday-Ridin' With Uncle Jesse

With a Little Love

Last summer I finally repotted this plant my mom had given me. It was long overdue and needed a new home and a little lovin'. In less than a year, look how this plant has transformed!!!

Last May...

Today...

It actually needs repotted again! It's started to grow roots out the bottom of the pot! And I can't really take the credit...Jesse is the one that waters it :) With a little love, this plant has gone from a sad little shoot to a beautiful, healthy plant :)

Wordless Wednesday-Brody Loves His Uncle Jesse

Happy Birthday Jesse :)

Today is my boyfriend Jesse's birthday...the big 3-3! Okay, so that's not very old, but I can still give him a hard time :) He'll always be older than me...hahaha!

I have to admit that I didn't really get him anything for his birthday! I know...bad girlfriend! But he's been living it up regardless. His air boat was sort of his birthday present. Plus we went to the fair and the lake...what more could a guy ask for. Plus he's got me...lol :)

He wants to send out a special thanks to my parents for the $ for the prop job! (For those of you who don't know...that's to get the prop reconditioned on the air boat...a little inside joke!)

Just the Two of Us...You and I

Was it an overly eventful weekend? No. One filled with parties and lots of friends? No. But it was one great weekend...just the two of us :) Jesse took Friday off work, so we had a great 3 day weekend! During the days we pretty much did our own things around the house and ran some errands. But at night we would meet back up and enjoy some much needed relaxation. We drank a few beers in the shed or out by a bon fire and watched movies til we fell asleep :) Friday Jesse even took me out for supper at one of my favorite local restaurants :) They have the best beer cheese soup! Yesterday was the best day! We took the air boat out on the river...just the two of us :) It was so nice to be out in the sun, enjoying the day with the one I love :) We got to talk, I got to fish (but didn't catch anything). And we got to just be together! We have a pretty busy month of August ahead of us, so this weekend was the perfect way to start out the month! I woke up this morning so refreshed and ready to take on the week! Thanks for the great weekend Jesse :)
