If you saw my Wordless Wednesday post last week, you saw that we got a "new" truck. We had to get a spare set of keys made and Jesse mentioned that he wanted to buy a cool key chain for them. I said: Why buy one when I can make one :)
I love getting to make things for him :) Coming up with things for guys can be hard! So I thought these key chains would be a great gift idea!
I cut the key chain in the shape of the Chevy bow tie. Then I engraved 454 (the motor size) on one side and his last name on the other.
I wanted him to carry it around for a while to see how it holds up. I told him to carry it in his pocket with some loose change. Put it to the test! I want to know how well they hold up before I list them in my shop. I want to have them listed by fall as I think they'll make great Christmas gifts for the guys :) And maybe even groomsman gifts!
Yes, really great idea for stocking stuffers...especially if you personalize them! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure this gift blessed him. These will make great guy gifts for your shop too. Another winner!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome Edi! Those would make great groomsman gifts.
ReplyDeleteHow cute! This would make a great guy gift. Stocking stuffers too.
ReplyDeleteVery neat -- I bet Jesse loves it! Definitely a great guy gift for your shop!
ReplyDeleteThese are great, Edi! Perfect for groomsmen gifts!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby often says let's buy such and such - then I counter with I can make that ;-)
That's a great idea! I bet he loved it. (And I actually didn't know the Chevy symbol was called a bow tie. I thought it was a plus sign.)
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I hope it passes the pocket test. (I'm betting it will.) These would make GREAT gifts.
ReplyDeletePretty clever doing product research with Jesse's keychain!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! I think it would make a wonderful guy gift for Christmas or a wedding party. Hopefully it'll hold up to Jesse's test!
ReplyDeleteI think these are fabulous, Edi! something really great for the men!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Edi! Good idea to have him carry the keychain in his pocket, too--that should be a good test.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great idea, for both special order and more popular cars, like a mustang or something. Hope the wood holds up well! {:-D
ReplyDeleteThey are so lovely and uniquely made. I like the idea you have.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Lots of possibilities for that idea!
