Last week was my first week of full-time self-employment. So how did it go? In a word...AMAZING!
*I love my new schedule! I'm up before the sun rises already getting work done.
*I got to exercise everyday!
*I got to spend more time with Harley :)
*Orders keep coming in...making me happy with my decision!
*And best of all, I didn't feel stressed and guilty over the weekend when I wasn't working every minute. We got to enjoy time with family and friends. And I knew come Monday I'd have plenty of time to get work done :)
I do think I might be working myself a little too hard though...I broke two nails working on projects last week...LOL :)
How was your week?
That's awesome, Edi!! I'm truly happy for you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet pic of Harley :)
This is so great! I like how you also made the decision to make sure your finances were order first--super smart:)
ReplyDeleteI featured one of your posts in today's It’s a Wrap Link Party at Artful Rising.

I am so happy for you Edi! It is inspiring me to focus more on reaching that point too! I can only imagine how much easier it is to fit in exercise, chores and other things that get pushed off to the side sometimes. I hope your nails grow back quickly!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your first week was awesome! It will only get better from here. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your first week went so well! I'm sure it has to be a huge relief to not be at that other job wondering how many orders were waiting for you when you got home. It's a bonus to have extra time with Harley and fun too!
ReplyDeleteSounds like it was a fun and productive week! You go, girl!!
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you, Edi! I'm glad to hear that things are going well. Some people think it's funny, but one thing that I love about working from home is spending time with Angel. (She loves it, too, as I'm sure Harley does.) I hope that this week is just as good for you.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's wonderful to hear. I'm glad you had a reduced-stress week. After all, we need a bit of stress to keep the momentum going, right?? Glad you had some time to work in fun things without worrying about getting work done!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I spend most of my "free" time working on my blog and shop. I can't imagine what it's like having free time on the weekend to spend with family. I'm still getting used to being home from vacation. I think I'll take Friday off to relax, away from the computer! {:-D
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great week to me! It's a wonderful feeling when you get to do things on your own schedule. The hard thing about working your business full time, is knowing when to take a break.

Everyday inspired
I'm so excited for you Edi! Self employment is freaking awesome, even if we do work harder!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! Many congratulations on this new step! :)
