Friday Features - Thunder on the Loup

This weekend, Jesse and I are headed to the Loup River with some of our friends for an event called Thunder on the Loup! It's a huge air boat get-together coined the "Sturgis of Air Boats". There will be drag races, figure 8 races, a party Saturday night and air boats from all over the US! We're so excited to see the huge, fancy boats!
So with the trip on my mind, today's features all have to do with the river...and I even found a photo of the river we'll be on!

    I love the river theme! I grew up near the Jordan river where it falls into the Sea of Galilee.

    It sounds fun! I have a dorky city-person question that you will probably laugh at: what's an air boat? Are they the ones with the huge fans on the back?

    We live right on the Willamette River, which runs into the Columbia a few miles from here. They have boat races on the Columbia, but I have never seen them. Have fun!
