Yesterday I teased you with an In the Works photo. I've been working on something new for a friend's daughter's graduation. It's a banner!
It was also a tricky project! And rather time-consuming as well! I started by cutting all the purple zebra paper into strips. Then each piece had to be fan-folded at 1/4" increments! I placed the finished "flower" on a large black circle and then topped each one with a smaller black circle and letter.
I love the finished product and can't wait to see it hanging at her graduation party!
I thought about adding these to my shop as I think they're fun and cute, but I'm not sure I want to make another one quite yet...LOL :)
Very cute! I understand what you mean; sometimes I make a project and enjoy doing it once, but don't really want to make multiples to sell :)
ReplyDeleteThat banner looks great!! What a fun idea! I think lots of people on Etsy would want a personalized banner, although the pleating sure is a lot of work!
ReplyDeleteIt's really cute! I've done the same thing with punching holes too low for ribbon, too. That's why I only deal with paper on very rare occasions, ha ha.
ReplyDeleteSamantha is going to love her banner! The fan-folded paper looks so cool. I can only imagine the time involved in this project!!! It is worthwhile when it is for someone you love.
ReplyDeleteAwesome banner. Samantha will love it.
ReplyDeleteOh, that makes so much sense! I love it- I hope she will too!
ReplyDeleteIt turned out beautifully! I hope that she loves it. I definitely share that sentiment that some projects are fun but not always something that you want to make over and over again.
ReplyDeleteThat looks fantastic! It's the kind of project I would do for special events for family.
ReplyDeleteIt sure turned out wonderful! You definitely put a lot of love and time into creating it, Samantha will love it!
ReplyDeleteIt didn't help that the words are so long either but it turned out fabulous! She's going to love it! Too bad the laser doesn't do folding! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, that does seem like quite a lot of work. It turned out great and I know Samantha and her family will be pleased.
ReplyDeleteworked out great. Very nice - I'm sure Sam will appreciate it! {:-D
