March was by far my best month so far this year! It far exceeded the goals I had set for my business!!! Some days I am in complete awe of how well my shop is doing!
I am still focusing more and more on wedding items and they have all been so well received! Two of my newest items are my Wood Wedding Invitations and Wine Bottle Candle Table Numbers. They got a lot of attention at my show last weekend as well!
Blog Goals:
March was a good blogging month. I posted 26 times which exceeds my goal. I am also doing well on my followers. I am currently at 261, so I may still reach my goal of 325 by the end of the year.
Shop Goals:
I far exceeded my goal of 1 sale a day and had 47 sales in March! This number still blows my mind! And I am steadily reaching my goal of 750 admirers by the end of the year. In March I had 21 new shop favorites. At this rate, I will easily meet my goal!
Other Business Goals:
I started a new advertisement on The Knot and will hopefully have good things to report on this! I think my wedding items will be great for this type of advertising. I'll have to do a post on this with more info on the experience.
I am quickly learning that inventory software is only as good as you make it! I have a hard time remembering to update it! I need to make this more of a routine like my sales, cost and profit logs I keep each month.
Personal Goals:
Things didn't go so well for me in the personal goals area last month! First I had a sinus infection, then my uncle died and then I had a huge order of coasters I had to get engraved! So my jogging suffered...a lot! I need to learn not to let excuses like these get in my way!
On a more positive note, our personal finances are still doing well. If we keep everything on track til the end of the year, my goal of quitting my job will easily become reality :)

How did your March go? Do you have goals set for each month or for the end of the year? I'd love to hear how you're doing :)
I'd be very interested to hear how your advertising with the Knot goes. They solicited me about doing one but I haven't pulled the trigger.
ReplyDelete47 sales is awesome! I'm a little behind on my yearly sales goal in one shop, but way ahead in the other, so it's balancing out. :-)
Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteJanuary was my best month so far in 2012, but my shop views and revenues were up over February, and I am still way ahead of pace on yearly sales and revenue projections, which is encouraging. I'd been working two jobs through March 30, so with more time to devote to Etsy after tax season, I'm hoping for even more growth in Etsy sales.
My personal goals also suffered--not walking or reading as much as planned.
This is so wonderful Edi! I'm so happy for you that you are able to reach your goals like this and keep such great momentum in your shop. I know that once you are able to quit your job and focus on etsy then you will have more control and time for your personal goals and health!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your goal posts. Don't forget to make time for yourself, too!

WOW I'm impressed with how many areas you set goals in! Congrats on exceeding your goals!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on all of your success this month! I'm so happy for you. I hope that The Knot advertisement goes well.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely guilty of letting excuses keep me from personal goals like exercise. I let a lot of things slide when I got busy with holiday shows last year, which is only excusable to a certain extent.
I wrote a quarterly goal update and a little update about March earlier this month, which I know you've already read. :)
Sounds like your business is booming, congrats on all your sales! I hope that this month exceeds your goals as well.

Everyday Inspired
Sometimes life simply intervenes and it's OK to let some goals slip a bit for a short period.
ReplyDeleteI am so pleased for you that your shop and business is doing so well. Honestly, it's not surprising. You have wonderful items that people want.
Many of us will party when we hear that you've quit your "day" job!
I am so excited to hear you had an amazing March!! I know by next year this will be your only job!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Edi! You're going to continue shattering goals! As for mine, I'm still upright (barely) so that's good.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you. Quitting your job! WOW! It's exciting to outdo your own goals - congrats. on your shop sales. And so sorry that your personal month was an unpleasant one... Hope April with be good for your personal life {:-D
ReplyDeleteMarch sounded like a rough month. I hope April is much better for you. :) It is great that you write down your goals and accomplishments. It really helps keep motivation up.
ReplyDeleteMy sales were the highest I have ever experienced in March! It was a great month!!!
Sounds like another great month for you. :) I'm in the process of figuring out what my goals are, evaluating where I want to be and that kind of thing. Yes, I do it a lot. :) But, like you, I know that once I state my intention everything will fall beautifully into place. :)
